If you are about to renovate the house, the evaluations to be made are different and it is first of all to understand if the apartment needs a complete renovation or a simple reordering. Therefore, assessing the extent of the work to be carried out is a first step to take in order to also have an approximate estimate of the costs to be incurred.
Generally one of the operations that makes the environment cooler, giving a new and clean feeling, is the re-painting of the walls or the replacement of wallpaper. The latter has recently been re-evaluated as a home furnishing solution as it allows you to give a chic, unique and original touch of design. The wallpaper can be applied in any environment. In fact, it is also chosen for the kitchen walls which are more subject to vapors therefore, for this use, it requires specific treatment.
Driven by the current economic crisis, which leads to incentives to do it yourself instead of relying on a specialist in the sector, the replacement of wallpaper is an operation that can also be carried out independently with due attention, resulting in considerable savings for the family cash fund. Obviously when it comes to apartment renovation, it is not possible to carry out all the work in complete autonomy, as there are several that require both special workers and specific equipment owned only by a qualified technician in the sector.
In addition, for special processing it is possible to use the tax deductions for restructuring, specifying that the type of intervention takes place in a residential building. It is possible to identify two categories of maintenance intervention: ordinary and extraordinary. There is no tax deduction for ordinary maintenance work carried out inside a home, including the replacement of tiles or the re-painting of the walls. If, on the other hand, the processing involves common parts of a residential complex, it is then possible to deduct the costs relating to maintenance. On the other hand, for extraordinary maintenance operations, whether it is a house or a building with a different intended use from the residential one, it is allowed to benefit from tax deductions.

You need to equip yourself with the right work clothing to work safely and not find obstacles in the movement, including a mask and gloves.
Find out how to remove wallpaper easily and quickly
The wallpaper can be removed dry or wet. The mode to use depends on the type of paper and the masonry. As for the wallpaper, this can be removable, vinyl or traditional. To evaluate which type of paper we have on the walls, just try to lift a corner from one corner and pull it to see if it comes off the sheet in one piece. In this case the card is removable so its elimination is simple and fast. On the other hand, if the pieces are broken into pieces at certain points, the paper is made of vinyl, whereas if it does not want to break off, it is the traditional type which is the most difficult to treat.
In the latter case, specific products are required such as a stripping product or using the steam method. Finally, it is also necessary to evaluate the type of support on which the paper is applied. If the walls are made of plasterboard, special care must be taken because you are dealing with delicate surfaces. The most widely used solution is to remove the paper by moistening it with water and vinegar, avoiding the formation of spots on the wall and ensuring total removal. If you choose the latter mode, the steps to follow are still quite simple and intuitive.
The first phase of the work consists in clearing the walls of everything that occupies the surface to be treated, such as removing paintings, furnishing elements, moving furniture and positioning everything in the least cumbersome way, so as to obtain sufficient space to carry out the work. It is advisable to place everything in the center of the room, moving the furniture after having made it lighter by clearing the contents, and to leave at least one meter / one meter and a half as useful space for the passage, so as to be able to move easily and reach every corner with simplicity.
It is also good to cover the furniture with a cloth thus avoiding that they get dirty and ruined, and it is useful to arrange old newspaper sheets on the floor to avoid getting it dirty. To work in complete safety, it is recommended to turn off all switches and cover the sockets with insulating tape, thus preventing water from entering inside during the wetting phase.
Then we move on to the second phase which consists in moistening the wallpaper with the aid of a brush or a roller, starting from one corner of the wall and extending to all sides of the wall, first in the horizontal direction and then in that vertical. This operation makes it possible to soften the glue that binds the coating to the surface and to thin the thickness of the paper, so that it can be peeled off with a simple tear.
However, it is necessary to wait a few minutes in order to easily remove the paper, but it may happen that in certain points it does not come off easily and requires further passes of water, but being careful not to excessively wet the surface. If it still does not come off, to raise the flaps we use the spatula, preferably plastic, trying as much as possible to avoid scratching the wall. Particular care require corners, where paper can hide under a ceiling frame.
After removing all the paper, clean the surface of any glue residues with water and detergent and proceed to examine the wall to cover any roughness or holes. This is done with a light pass of sandpaper or with a coat of putty passed with the spatula. Once a smooth and well-polished surface has been ensured, the walls are whitened.
Even painting is an operation that can be carried out independently as the surfaces to be treated generally do not require specific treatments and have a modest state of conservation. If the wall shows only the damage caused by the passage of time, only two coats of water-based paint are sufficient, to be spread dry on the surface that is completely dry. Conversely, if damage of greater thickness is visible, preliminary interventions such as shaving, grouting, etc. are used. which is good to entrust to qualified and competent technicians.
Another valid method for removing wallpaper is to moisten the surfaces through the action of steam, using a special machine loaded with a solution of water and vinegar. In this way it is much easier to be able to dissolve the glue under the paper even if the coating is particularly old. For traditional wallpaper removal, this mode is your best bet. It is advisable not to moisten the entire wall at the same time but to act in small parts at a time.
Finally, another choice may be not to reapply new paper on the walls, but to leave it raw or repainted with bright colors. The choice depends on the style you want to give to the environment and in any case the important aspect to always keep in mind is to provide the rooms with the greatest possible light.
When buying a new wallpaper, evaluate the cost per square meter of the restructuring and of the laying in case you decide to rely on a qualified operator, allows you to make an excellent investment that allows you to get a good quality / price ratio. Obviously the price depends on the quality of the material and the service. With the same dimensions, vinyl wallpaper is more expensive than a traditional one. If you go for choices of American productions or in any case for particular types of cards, even personalized ones, the price rises further.
